I was really excited about this dildo, it looked great on the site and again when I received it. I ordered a Small with Medium firmness. Since there was no firmer density available I perhaps naively thought Medium would be fine. To use this dildo for the first time was a massively frustrating disappointment. It's well made certainly I will say that, arrived super fast and in impeccable packaging too but so incredibly soft and floppy that I had to check back to make sure it wasn't the soft version. As soft as it is I personally find it almost entirely unusable. It's a real challenge to get it inside me as it flops around and won't stay still which is something I never encounter with firmer dildos. Just one big piece of floppy, bendy rubber-like silicone which I would have expected from the Soft firmness version and not this Medium density one. So disappointed. It seems many appreciate and enjoy how soft these are but I just can't agree personally. It's so soft it almost defeats the point in stating the circumference measurements since it squishes down so easily. I find it baffling. I had high hopes and expected to say it was an easy 5 stars. But not for me, sorry.

Small - medium firmness
After having so much fun with my Brutus in soft firmness, I wanted to try another realistic-looking toy but switch things up with medium firmness to compare the two. As soon as I saw the Inmate, I knew I had to have it. I went for the small size (which is still impressively large, by the way) in espresso brown and, of course, medium firmness.
It was absolutely perfect! I imagine medium firmness is much closer to what the real thing would feel like with just the right balance of flexibility and firmness. I've ordered all my toys in medium firmness ever since, and I haven't looked back. Highly recommend this toy if you're wanting something realistic looking.
Such a soft big and beautiful dildo. The scary size is forgotten with this softness. Usable for experienced users and also intermediate looking for bigger dildos and new sensations.

Well......what an absolute fool I've been! I wrote a 2 star review of the Inmate a couple of weeks ago. I didn't like how bendy and floppy the dildo was. I thought it was pretty much unusable and felt super disappointed. Well, like I said, I'm a total fool, I've since discovered that these dildos are actually really good! The problem wasn't the dildo at all, the problem was me! I was just more used to firmer toys plus I hadn't opened myself up enough yet to fully enjoy and take these John Thomas ones. Now I have though I can say they are wonderful! I actually like the softness now. Unlike many dildos, it doesn't feel like it's going to do any harm inside me like many firmer ones that can be scary to use. I just can't stop going back to use these again and again! I still wish they were a tad firmer but only a little bit. It's a minor niggle. Since I don't personally use dildos in an harness I would have liked a moulded suction cup on the actual dildo. The free suction cup can't quite handle the weight so I find myself holding it while riding instead. I'm used to it so don't mind too much, especially when they feel this good.
